United Playaz is a violence prevention and youth development organization that has worked in San Francisco for 20 years. The UP Clubhouse is located in the heart of San Francisco’s SoMa district.

Our mission is to provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate legal representation, social services, and advocacy for the most marginalized segments of the community including low-income women, seniors, recent immigrants, and youth. Our diverse staff provides holistic legal, social, and educational services in more than a dozen languages including Cantonese, Chiu-Chow, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese.

Founded in 1970, South of Market Child Care, Inc. (SOMACC) celebrates 47 years of serving children, their families and the community by providing quality early care and education, and free comprehensive family support services in safe and nurturing environments.

Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco (ECS) helps homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services each person needs to prevent and end homelessness.

VEC was originally established to provide services for Filipino World War II veterans, VEC has expanded its services to include low-income seniors, families, people with disabilities, immigrants, LGBTQ, formerly incarcerated and homeless individuals. VEC assists these groups through case management, counseling, free legal clinic, health services, and affordable housing opportunity assistance.

In 1968, West Bay Pilipino Multi-Service Center (West Bay) was founded by local activist activist Ed de la Cruz to address the most pressing socioeconomic challenges facing the Filipino immigrant community living in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMA) District

We assist Filipino seniors to access all types of health, housing, medical, legal, and labor-related resources.

ALC focuses on housing rights, immigration and immigrants’ rights, labor and employment issues, student advocacy (ASPIRE), civil rights and hate violence, national security, and criminal justice reform.
