API Legal Outreach (APILO)
Our mission is to provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate legal representation, social services, and advocacy for the most marginalized segments of the community including low-income women, seniors, recent immigrants, and youth. Our diverse staff provides holistic legal, social, and educational services in more than a dozen languages including Cantonese, Chiu-Chow, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese.
Veterans Equity Center (VEC)
VEC was originally established to provide services for Filipino World War II veterans, VEC has expanded its services to include low-income seniors, families, people with disabilities, immigrants, LGBTQ, formerly incarcerated and homeless individuals. VEC assists these groups through case management, counseling, free legal clinic, health services, and affordable housing opportunity assistance.
West Bay Pilipino Multi-service Center
In 1968, West Bay Pilipino Multi-Service Center (West Bay) was founded by local activist activist Ed de la Cruz to address the most pressing socioeconomic challenges facing the Filipino immigrant community living in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMA) District
