Please join us for the SoMa Pilipinas Barrio Fiesta 2017: Ang Tao, Ang Bayan, Ngayon ay Lumalaban! with a tribute to the late Russell Robles, one of the original founders of Barrio Fiesta.

The event will be on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Gene Friend SoMa Recreation Center, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

For the past 2 years our community revived a classic celebration started by our elders and the leaders before us. And after those 2 successful revivals and popular demand, we're doing it again this year!

We are seeking volunteers as all the fun, community building, and memorable experiences were and will be made possible by the community coming together. Here is an amazing video from last year's Barrio Fiesta created by Evelyn Obamos: click here.

Shifts will start as early as 9:00 AM with set up and may last through 6:00 PM with break down. Please sign up HERE 

Volunteers who commit to a minimum of 3 hours will be eligible to receive a volunteer T-shirt. Those who sign up by April 24, 2017 will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Due to our limited supply of shirts and sizes and depending on the number of volunteers we get, we cannot guarantee a shirt for everyone who registers after April 24, as they will be available on a first-come, first serve basis as supplies last. But we will try our best, and you will still get to be part of all the fun, food, and community-building!
