It’s no secret that San Francisco’s SOMA district has become the home to some of the biggest tech companies on the planet like Uber, Twitter, and Airbnb just to name a few. What few people understand is that lack of community sensitivity combined with tremendous growth has lead to the displacement of the large Filipino community that inhabited SOMA.
But things are about to change.
We’re calling on all Filipinos in Tech to come together and discuss how we can contribute to the growth of the newly established SOMA Pilipinas Cultural District.
