Last April, San Francisco's Board of Supervisor's unanimously passed landmark legislation to create a Filipino Cultural Distirct. The legislation calls for community outreach to gather feedback on how best to create this district. A hallmark feature of similar cultural disticts like Japantown, Chinatown, Little Saigon have always contained businesses of that community. Presently there are only a handfull of Filipino busineesses in SOMA. We want to change that.

In this meet-up, you'll meet members of the SOMA Pilipinas working group. We'll present to you our current strategies to spark a new Filipino buisness renaisiance and most importantly solicit feedback from our business community to find-out the best ways we can jump-start Filipino commerce in SOMA.

This meet-up is intended towards consumer facing B2C owners from the Filipino Community across the Bay Area.
