Bayanihan House
Bayanihan House is a 152 unit SRO located at the corner of Sixth and Mission Streets in South of Market Area. Originally built in 1914 the Bayanihan House was renovated in 2003. It is a tax credit property with 48 of 152l units subsidized through Housing Programs such as Section 8 and SF Dept of Public Health’s Direct Housing for Chronic Inebriates. Of note is that Bayanihan House is next door to the newly opened SF Police Dept’s Sixth Street Substation.
